Her personal highlights thus far including getting hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to accompany him on stage during the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has kept up an unstoppable songwriting schedule despite the whirlwind of the past few years. Songwriting is a source of inspiration for aspiring producers. Niykee is always listening to beats and discovers many which spark thoughts. I can tell if a beat is good after the first five seconds and then I'll have a song in my head, and I'll start writing immediately she says. When I am playing my guitar in my front yard the words begin to flow. Most of the time it is completed in just about 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her skills as a poet and the lyricist. She notes how the pain she experienced during her childhood has served as an infinite source of unusual motivation. Niykee says that, even when she is not writing about the things which have actually happened the pain through her childhood and grief over the loss of her daughter find its way into the music. This shapes my music and gives it a deeper sense of meaning that I believe is crucial. I'd like to be able to hear my songs in 20 years and feel proud of the things I've written.
