After trying colleges for three months he stated, "Things didn't really go my way, and it wasn't working for us, so we needed to end our relationship." He moved to New York, where he was a student at the Circle in the Square Theatre School. The actors again teamed up for The Last Word. In it they played their own on-screen love interest. Stuart Fink wrote the movie and Mark Pellington directed it. Shirley MacLaine, a Broadway star, also appeared in the film. Sadoski was recently divorced from Hope, while Seyfried and Long had divorced in September.
